Hand Hand Hammered Bell: The hand hammered bell section of the saxophone has been limited to only a few of the great professional saxophones of the past. This produces a great sound and resonance in the instrument. Finger Friendly Keyboard: Kenny has designed the key to fit the hand. This gives the saxophonist every advantage for both learning and playing the saxophone. Fast Response and Great Intonation: Response is the speed with which the notes will play, and this Kenny G, "E-Series" Alto excellent response. Intonation means how well in tune the instrument is and how easy it is to match other players. Kenny chose a special facing for his mouthpiece (free with the instrument), that makes it easier for the student to produce a good tone from the very first time he plays the instrument. The special thumb rest design helps the saxophonist keep the correct hand position while preventing tension in the right hand. Player Tips Remember to rinse your reeds with clean water after playing. (And of course, you should always brush your teeth before playing!) Buy a reed case; protecting your reeds from damage will save you much more than the reed case costs. There are some great single-reed cases that hold the reeds flat while they dry - this helps prevent warping. Keep a minimum of four reeds and rotate them. When one starts showing signs of wear, put a new reed into the rotation. This practice lets you be sure you always have a reed that is ready to play. Your reeds will last much longer if you follow these tips.
